Hoffmann

After fighting in the Battle of Waterloo, Samuel Hoffmann emigrated from Europe in 1847 to take up a new life in Australia. He became Barossa’s first master potter and craftsman, who also planted the first grapes in the Rowland Flat district of Barossa in South Australia.

Within one of Hoffmann Wines’ vineyards the remains of his original winery can still be found, standing as testament to the vision of the pioneer grape growers of South Australia. Hoffmann Wines produces a small range of high quality wines from grapes grown in the premium wine districts of South Australia.
